Miguel MORENO GOMEZ

Miguel Moreno Gomez is an Industrial Maintenance Engineer with experience in drinking and wastewater systems. He got a M. Sc. degree on “Hydro science & Engineering” and a Dr.-Eng. degree at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. Miguel is interested on groundwater research, aquifers' protection measures, groundwater modelling, and remote sensing as tools for hydrogeological research.

Miguel was a member of the INOWAS research group on Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR); he is a recurrent collaborator for the projects “Cenoteando” (UNAM, Mexico), and “Most Important Karst Aquifer’s Springs -MIKAS (IAH Commission on Karst Hydrogeology)”.

On September 2023, Miguel start a new position as Post-doctoral researcher at the Hydrology and Hydraulic Engineering department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) as a member of the research team of Prof. Marijke Huysmans.
